Sadness..
Woke up last night at 2:30am to watch the Champions League Final between AC Milan and Liverpool.. As a Milan supporter from young, I was naturally hoping that Milan could win the match last night.. However, this was not the case..
Milan started off brightly.. Paolo Maldini (my favourite player and also the reason why I supported Milan throughout these years), scored the first goal in the first minute.. The whole team played well for the first half and they went on to score 2 more before stopping at half time.. However, Milan suffered from a 6 minute of madness, whereby they conceded 3 goals.. This scoreline remained the same until the end of the match.. Although Milan went on a rampage in extra time, Liverpool held on and eventually went on to win the penalties..
Although I'm very sad that Milan lost despite having a 3 goal advantage in the first half, I'm glad at the fact that the first half last night was one of the few times I see Milan play so fluid football.. From there I saw the true class of Milan.. Although I seriously think Milan played better (they're always closer to scoring), I must commend Liverpool for their spirit, despite being 3 goals down.. But overall, the whole match was a very entertaining one..
